Somerset East, at the foot of the BosbergMountains and at the heart of the Blue Crane Route, is a quaint, serene little town that's as famous for natural beauty as it is for its many beautiful buildings. The town was established in 1825. The forested, mountainous backdrop creates a dramatic setting for the town, which is within sight of no less than 16 waterfalls. The area is known for the best roses in the country.
