The new stadium is in the process of being built in a fabulous location between the mountain and the sea. Green Point is the home to much of Cape Town's gay scene. Green Point Main Road has some of the best gay clubs, bars, cabaret venues and restaurants.
The De Waterkant shopping area is a collection of specialist up-market shops and trendy restaurants including the excellent Cape Quarter. Green Point also has a number of theatres, lodges, hotels and bed and breakfast establishments.
